It’s funny how things work out sometimes. I met artist Jamie Smith when when I first moved to Vancouver, bonding at a business networking event over our collective confusion as to how each of us had ended up there (you can always tell another creative type in a crowd of suits). When Jamie recently came to a Designer Happy Hour event, we reconnected and she gave me the scoop on her new venture; MNMNT (that’s ‘monument’) with fellow artists Graeme Berglund and Elliat Albrecht. At MNMNT they connect art enthusiasts with unique pieces and artist here in Vancouver. They also happen to work out of a gorgeous studio space (shared with renowned painter Lawrence Paul Yuxweluptun) so I jumped at the chance to get the DHH crowd in there.

Big thanks to Jamie & Graeme for opening up their studio to us and for introducing us to some amazing local art.  With drinks being shaken by Sons of Vancouver Distillery, how could we not have a great time?! Read on for the photographic evidence.
