I already shared this on the ol’ Facebooks a while ago but I wanted to give you a better look. Connected for Business Magazine approached me to give some tips on small office design and how to take what the big players of the creative office world are doing and adapt it work for a space that may have more of a pre-fortune-500 budget.
I looked at 5 BIG and distinctive offices (their Canadian headquarters, of course); Google, HootSuite, Grip Limited, Red Bull, and Sid Lee Architecture. They’ve all set standards in commercial office design that encourages collaboration, a variety of work styles, and developing work-life balance for their employees. But hey, those types of ‘perks’ aren’t just for those at the top of the corporate food chain. Businesses of any size should know that an environment that’s in line with your company values will attract and keep employees who believe in those same things. Sounds simple, right? It is. Happy employees = better business.
