Happy New Year everyone! I hope you all had a fantastic holiday season. I have lots to share you with you (my resolutions, more design inspiration from Thailand, some recent work etc.) but first I wanted to point out a few updates to the blog. We made some changes over the holiday, they’re subtle refreshers but I thought I’d walk you through them just to ensure that you’re all in the know.
New Years Blog Updates: 2014
‘Read More’ Tabs (see what I did there?)
I’ve adjusted the layout of the blogs running feed so that you now get just a excerpt of each entry and access the full post after the jump by clicking the ‘read more’ tab. There are a few reasons for this change:
- You get easier access to the comment section and I would LOVE for you all to tell me what you think of my ramblings
- It forces me to create some intrigue in the first paragraph of the post thus putting my writing skills to the test
- Since there is now a decent amount of content on the blog, there is no need to showing it all at once like an over-compensating resume
RSS Feed
For all those of you who use a RSS reader, I have added a link to the RSS feed which can be with the other social media links at the bottom right-hand corner of the page.
Subscription Option
That’s right, many of you have asked for this and now it’s a reality! You can now sign up to receive posts directly to your email account. Simply use the little subscription form on the right, enter your email, and select the type of updates you would like to receive; daily posts, monthly newsletters, or both. We promise to never use your contact information for evil and all you’ll be getting is the thrice-weekly posts and the new monthly newsletter. This is actually pretty exciting because I get to stay better connected with you.
You can, of course, opt out of any of this at any time but I do hope that you find this to be a convenient service. I have grand ideas for this newsletter too (picture a monthly MãK magazine of sorts) so I really hope to knock your socks off with that.

That pretty much covers the physical updates to the blog but we’re also making some changes to the entire MãK site. We’re rearranging some information and adding new content but this is still in development so I’ll share more on that once we’ve got it all finished. For now, I want to thank you all for reading in 2013 and for inspiring me to write. This has been one of the best parts of my job and I’m cooking up some great content for 2014 (more local products & spaces, more interior design tips, more MãK projects etc.). I also have to thank all of my Clients who are a constant source of inspiration, laughs, challenges and success. Without you, I am just a girl with a laptop and a brain full of ideas. Thank you for letting me share them with you. Happy New Year and thank you!
