As the Vancouver branch of one of the North America’s largest Commercial Real Estate firms, Avison Young was a busy and growing office. Expanding to two empty floors in a downtown financial district tower meant we had a blank slate to not only bring in a new look but to do a full workflow analysis. The new layout was built around a large and expandable ‘Town Hall’ space which allows for weekly all-team gatherings as well as casual one-on-one meetings in a relaxed setting. The sleek reception is flanked by two smoked glass boxes; a small private meeting space and a grand board room. Smoked glass is repeated on the new stair case which reflects the slated wood ceiling above as well as in private meeting spaces throughout the office. This office design is sleek and sophisticated with a hint of bad-ass Mad Men flare that suits this group perfectly.
