Electronic Arts – Great Northern Way

At over 125,000 square feet, this LEED gold wood frame building came with a lot of beautiful elements baked in. Stunning views, tons of natural light, a central open stair with beautiful architectural detailing, and loads of open space. Our goal was to reimagine these unique and coveted bones into a new home for multiple studio groups at EA, infusing it with their brand and style.

Starting with a concept of ‘Digital Magic’ we developed a design language to identify each floor by shape a color. Each with custom graphic patterns, color scheme, furniture pieces, and details to distinguish it from the others. The central stair acts as the heart of the building and is the
jumping-off point of each color story – with all levels visible to each other from this central vantage point.

Working closely with our furniture partners, we created residential-style groupings with fun pops of color to tie in with the scheme for each floor and to soften the open work areas. Using unique storage solutions, privacy screens, and soft furnishings we were able to take wide open
areas and create intimate enclaves and moments of discovery.

The resulting space balances the stunning architecture with a branded environment that entices a return-to-work and builds team culture.
