Tommy’s – Whistler

Reimagining a Whistler institution is no easy task. In its former life as Tommy Africa’s, this basement-level night club had become a tired version of its former kitschy jungle-themed self. The new owners wanted to push the boundaries of Whistler’s nightlife scene with an upscale spot for post-dinner drinks where you might just end up dancing far into the night.

With the space gutted, we were able to eliminate the oversized DJ booth and reconfigure the two bars for better flow. We created a variety of seating areas, including a luxurious VIP lounge that can be sectioned off for private events.

A jewel-toned scheme of deep blues with hits of pink are accented by large-scale botanical prints—a nod to the jungle theme of its past—for a modern and moody take on the tropics. Intricate metalwork, custom fluted leather banquets, and a scalloped bar elevate the club. A custom abstract mural and bold neon lighting features that synchronize with the AV system bring a sense of whimsy and keep the party going.

This is a space for lively cocktail parties, poppin’ celebratory bubbles, or for dancing to pounding beats all night long. The Whistler club scene just got a whole lot sexier.
