Come make
something great.

We're always looking to add curious, fun, smart and design-loving people to our team.

Looking to work with a great team, amazing clients and fun projects?

If you enjoy puzzles (design or jigsaw related), people, learning and laughing — you could be a great fit.

We're a close-knit studio in the heart of Gastown. Small enough that your work matters on every project, large enough to tackle complex, multi-scope commissions for clients who care deeply about their spaces.

01
Curious by nature

We ask why before we ask what. Every project starts with deep curiosity about the client, their culture, and the people who'll inhabit the space.

02
Design with purpose

We don't design for portfolios. We design for the people who live and work in the spaces we create — every decision has a reason.

03
Clients worth caring about

Arc'teryx. EA. Hootsuite. Newmont. We work with brands that take their environments seriously — which means the work is always worth doing well.

04
A team that laughs

Design is hard. Deadlines are real. We take the work seriously and ourselves less so. If you can find the funny in a Friday afternoon FF&E review, you'll fit right in.

The stuff that actually matters.

01
Competitive salaries

We pay fairly and transparently. Good work deserves good compensation — full stop.

02
Health & wellness benefits

Comprehensive coverage because a healthy team is a happy team.

03
Generous vacation

Real time off to rest, travel and come back with fresh eyes. We mean it.

04
Good coffee

We're in Gastown. This one was non-negotiable from day one.

05
Office Frenchie

Our studio comes with one very important canine presence. He attends most meetings and has strong opinions about finish samples.

06
Gastown, in-studio

We're in-office — by design. Collaboration happens in person, and our neighbourhood makes showing up genuinely enjoyable. Transit-friendly, walkable, surrounded by great lunch spots.

We hire for character as much as craft.

Our team includes registered interior designers, project coordinators, graphic designers and studio operations people. What they all share: a genuine love of design, strong communication skills, and the ability to stay calm when the contractor calls at 4pm on a Friday.

You bring ideas, not just execution
You're comfortable talking to clients directly
You sweat the details without losing the big picture
You'd rather solve the problem than assign blame
You genuinely enjoy the people you work with

We'd love to hear from you.

Tell us who you are, what you do, and why Māk feels like the right fit. We read every submission.

Not sure if you're a fit?
    Say hello anyway.

The worst we can say is not right now. The best? Let's talk.
