Run As You Are (RAYA) redefines the running experience by seamlessly combining retail, diagnostics, training, and community-building in one unified space. As an evolution of our original design for the Vancouver Running Company in 2015, this flagship store on Vancouver’s West 4th is a thoughtfully crafted hub, inviting runners of all levels to engage with the RAYA community.

The space balances retail, training, and social areas, with modular displays designed to adapt easily for events, social gatherings, and seasonal merchandise changes. Drawing from West Coast aesthetics, the interior showcases wood, concrete, and crisp white finishes, providing a neutral yet inviting canvas that amplifies the vibrancy of RAYA’s dynamic running apparel and footwear.

Adjacent to the retail area, spacious, lounge-inspired fitting rooms offer comfort and privacy, enhancing the customer experience. Nearby, a dedicated diagnostics training area supports runners with specialized equipment for running assessments. Attention to acoustics ensures the space remains accessible and welcoming, with sound mitigation thoughtfully incorporated to reduce treadmill noise and create a private, serene environment for physiotherapy and massage treatments.
